Onteora Lake Yellow Trail Loop


Join us on the Yellow Trail in Bluestone Wild Forest, a scenic 3.3-mile loop winding between Onteora Lake and Pickerel Pond. Moderate with rolling, wooded terrain and beautiful pond and lake views, it's a great way to get outside and enjoy nature in the Hudson Valley.

  • Rolling terrain with no major climbs

Onteora Lake--Bluestone Wild Forest

Upper parking area.

  • From the Kingston-Rhinecliff Bridge, take NY-199 W to US-209 S.
  • Exit at NY-28 W toward Pine Hill.
  • The trail head is on the right about 3 miles west of the traffic circle, across from Brad's Barns.
  • There are is a parking area right off NY-28. Don't park there. Continue up the road to teh upper parking area near the trail head.
