Rhinebeck at Home members who care about environmental issues have an ongoing outlet for that interest: the Environment/Sustainability Interest Group, which meets monthly. The next meeting is Monday, April 13, from 4 to 5 p.m. at 31 East Pond Drive. No registration is required. Contact Nina Lynch for more information.
Members can also mark their calendars for the Town of Rhinebeck's Earth Day celebration on Saturday, April 25, from 1 to 3:30 p.m. at Thompson-Mazzarella Park (Starr Park). The free public event features a big tent, a food truck, wildlife shows, hands-on activities, and a "recycle-a-palooza."
Village residents interested in local environmental initiatives can also learn more and get involved at villageofrhinebeck.gov/climate-environment.
